However, it need not always to be Alpine Skiing;
a stroll into the village center of one of St. Jacob or
even sometimes with cross-country skiing on 50 kilometers
groomed trail or also on skis the endless expanse of mountains to explore Deferegger.

Skiing for the family is available on Brunnalm in St.Jakob/Defereggental, on 27 km perfectly prepared
ski-runs, including some family runs.

Glide down the sun flooded slopes away from the masses of other large skiing resorts and enjoy the
snow from November to April when you can still ski on “firn” (old snow in spring) and enjoy long
hours of sunshine also after Easter, thanks to the height. When the summer is over, there is no need to
venture into the glacier regions for your first encounter with snow. Our snow-making facilities will
ensure an early start to all snow sports, should nature keep us waiting. Recently St. Jakob has
developed into the snowboard hot spot in East Tyrol. We have created a brilliant Funpark with hips,
waves, walls, rails and other super jumps. It offers snowboarders the right atmosphere to test their
skills.
